Premier Medical Plus™ Silver Calcium Alginate Dressing is made of natural fibers derived from seaweed. It is designed to absorb exudate quickly. Alginates absorb wound exudates and form a gel-like covering over the wound, which maintains a moist wound healing environment. The gel-like surface also keeps the dressing from adhering to the wound, reducing removal pain.

Premier Medical Plus™ Silver Alginate Dressing has been tested in vitro and found to be effective against bacteria such as: Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae.
